Whitewashed and imposing, with the name painted in large black letters across the facade, the Weighbridge stands beside the original packhorse trail to Bristol (now a bridleway). The road in front became a turnpike in 1822 and there was a public weighbridge next to the pub. Inside are stone walls decorated with agricultural artefacts and exposed beams hung with a large collection of keys from neighbouring mills. Log fires provide winter warmth.
