The Grade II-listed Cotswold-stone exterior of this 17th century inn belies a comprehensively modernised, altered and updated interior-the state-of-the-art new toilets were opened by the local MP! The bar features a large inglenook fireplace with a wood-burning stove, slate floors and two oak drinking counters dividing the space. Up to four beers (fewer earlier in the week) from the likes of Bath, Cottage, Moles and Otter served from a stillage directly behind the bar. The TV prioritises rugby.
