Busy one-bar pub dating back to 1506 and next to the church, in this delightful little town with lots of lovely old cottages and tangled narrow streets and alleyways. There is a safe courtyard at the back, now with disabled access. The home-made food is good-value but only served on Friday and Saturday, with a traditional roast lunch available on Sundays. In summer the lunchtime session may run on. Colyton station on the Seaton Tramway is a level walk.
