Sixteenth-century coaching house with original low beams and a large fireplace at either end of the long bar. Two real ales are usually available and served directly from casks behind the bar. Good food is served daily. The owner has worked in several leading culinary establishments, the menu being a showcase for his considerable talents. Breakfasts also available at weekends. At the rear there is a very pleasant and spacious beer garden and car park. Dogs and children welcome.
