Thatched 14th-century village local, which is not only at the hub of the community, but also attracts many visitors exploring the area. Well behaved dogs are made particularly welcome here. The regular Dartmoor beers are accompanied by a changing guest ale and locally made cider. Good food is served lunchtimes and evenings every day. Regular live music sessions are held throughout the year and the pub plays a central role during the Dartmoor Folk Festival in August.
