Spacious town centre inn, dating back to the 17th-century, which reopened in March 2018 following a ten year closure. The pub has since become a particularly favoured haunt of local real ale and live music enthusiasts. The regular Kennard's Steam, brewed specially for the pub by local Taw Valley Brewery, is generally accompanied by guest ales from other nearby breweries and locally made real ciders. Food purchased from surrounding outlets can be consumed on the premises.
