A large, welcoming, early 20th century, brick and timber -framed building on the site of two predecessors which were lost to fires. The cosy interior consists of a central bar with drinking areas on 2 sides and a restaurant area behind. The pub plays host to the local football and cricket teams on match days when it opens earlier on the Saturday afternoons. Home cooked meals, a regular quiz and darts matches are further features of this friendly local.
