A cheery welcome greets you as you enter this two bar pub, with dining tables to sit at in the lounge bar and restaurant, or bar stools for those who wish to sit and watch the action. Real ales are served by gravity from stillage behind the bar. This is a friendly locals pub, but with a busy passing trade. The good-value home-cooked food, served lunchtimes and evenings, covers most pub food choices, and is of a very tasty standard. Well-behaved dogs are allowed in the lounge bar. There are two large gardens, and a skittle alley.
