Comfortable split level pub (est. 1820) in a 16th century building on the historic Royal Mile. Close to Holyrood Palace, the Scottish Parliament, Huntly House & Peoples Story and other museums and with views to the rear of Calton Hill. The food menu is seasonally varying. There are regular quizzes (Sun pm) and karaoke nights (every 2nd Sat) Singers other weeks in the traditional locals’ bar area, which has unusual square wood panels in the ceiling.
