Formerly a somewhat basic pub, now an appealing gastro-style/bistro bar with trendy bare brick walls and a mixture of comfortable seating. Although many original features have gone, the cornices remain and the ceiling is worth an extended look as it is an extract of a map from 1804 showing the distilleries and buildings in the Canonmills area, so you can see how much it has changed. German bottled beers are available. NOTE: May close earlier if quiet!
