Single-roomed, old-fashioned bar by the Water of Leith dating from 1747. It has a real fire and the walls are bedecked with mirrors, prints and beer-related artefacts. A large selection of pumpclips, many from long-lost breweries and distilleries, hangs from the ceiling along with hop bines renewed every harvest. The wide variety of real ales has an emphasis towards smaller breweries - beers are listed on the mirror behind the bar. Children are permitted until 6pm.
