The building which we now know as “The Star and Garter” was conceived in the same year as was Scotland’s national bard, Robert Burns. The year 2009 marked the 250th anniversary of the poet’s birth – and also 250 years of Number One, High Street, Linlithgow: affectionately known to local residents as simply “The Star.”
Extensively renovated in 2020 by new owner. Yet keeping many historic features.
There are 2 handpumps serving local real ale as well as full restaurant menu.
