Golf Tavern

A traditional locals’ pub nestling behind the Waterside Bistro on the eastern side of the River Tyne. The bar, with jugs, bottles and mirrors adorning the walls, has a pool table and dartboard. Only one of the two hand pumps on the U-shaped bar is used. The spacious lounge acts mainly as a popular restaurant and function room. Food, renowned for its generous portions, is served all day on Saturdays and until 7pm on Sundays.
