Much altered, open-plan tenement pub with varied seating areas and large windows giving a bright feel. There is an attractive shaped gantry and the original wooden bar top survives, complete with the wooden bases for the old tills. Some attractive stained glass also survives in the windows and doors. Upmarket, gastro-pub style food is served all day, tables can be reserved, and the menu has children's options. Continental-style table service available. Handy for Royal Botanic Gardens and Water of Leith Walkway. Well chosen retro-music is played at low volume.
