JULY 2020: Has reopened under new management. More of a restaurant than a pub, but drinkers are still welcome. Two changing cask beers are on offer. The refurbished beer garden is very pleasant. The following may be out of date: Located in the heart on Penicuik's conservation area this fully reconstructed pub opened in September 2017. The single room combines bar and restaurant and has a smart, modern feel with light coloured décor. It catering for all tastes by offering real ales, cocktails, meals and teas and coffee. NOTE: Alcohol is not be served before 11am (12.30 Sun).
