Sheep Heid Inn

Situated in one of the most exclusive areas of the city, this historic pub, dating from the 14th century, has been beautifully restored retaining its intimate past with dark wood panelling to the fore. The focus is on food, but drinkers are most welcome, the enclosed courtyard being popular in summer. It still has a traditional skittle alley which can be hired. Simple bar snacks are also served.
