Traditional stone-built village pub, dating from the 18th century. The cosy public bar retains some original features including wood panelling and a fine Bernard's mirror. The pleasant lounge and restaurant are furnished with tables and chairs and have a tartan carpet. There are a varied menus (no food Mon) with lighter options at lunchtime, children's dishes and Chinese specials. Folk sessions take place one Tuesday evening each month. Dogs are allowed in the bar with biscuits and water provided. A function room is available for business meetings or seminars and for private functions. New small outdoor covered area. Third place in CAMRA Lothian Pub of the Year 2020 awards.
