Below the castle, one of many varied drinking establishments in the Grassmarket, this pub has a long L-shaped bar with two small mezzanines. Lots of T&J Bernard (extinct Edinburgh brewery) memorabilia. Five TV screens regularly show sport. It can be very lively on Friday and Saturday evenings, with a mainly younger clientele and music provided by a DJ. Guest beers mainly from smaller Scottish breweries.
