OCT 2021 - Reopened under new ownership. Real ale should be regularly available but it may be a while until food is restarted. Apart from redecoration little has changed. A cosy, characterful bar hidden halfway down an Old Town close, decorated with railway memorabilia. The small, often busy, bar area at the front has window seats, stools and tables. The rear area has more comfortable semi-circular booth seating where children over five may be allowed until 8pm if the pub is quiet. Meals are served all day. The bar may stay open until 1am during busy times of year.
