City Bar

Long basement Free House bar occupying a brick archway underneath Cannon Street main line station. Opened in 2000 in former club premises. Carpeted floors with a mixture of tables and chairs, spot lighting and exposed brick walls and ceiling. Steps lead to an upper gallery seating area overlooking the main bar, complete with grand piano, played occasionally at lunchtime by the owner. Food lunchtime and evenings. Pleasant background music. Doors near the entrance lead through to the archway next door used for private functions. Renamed LOOSE CANNON by May 2012.
