Previously some kind of commercial premises, then Traders Bar (lap dancing), then Drunken Monkey (Chinese drinking den theme bar). It has been reincarnated since September 2018 by global brewing giant ABInbev as a brewpub and tap for their Chicago-based Goose Island brewery, one of the early US "craft brewers". Real ale has been introduced, from the likes of Beatnik Republic, Burning Sky, Fuller's or Thornbridge. Keg beers include a selection brewed on-site, on one visit Brut IPA, Fireside, Not Quite Breakfast Gose, Restrictor Plate and Shoreditch Porter, plus the global Goose Island beers 312 Urban Wheat, IPA and Midway. Guests on the same visit were Birra del Borgo Lisa, Napabier No Guey, Northern Monk Hops and a Redchurch collaboration Festive Dubbel. Whilst they have 4 cask ale pumps, they rotate 2 beers on them, 2 at one end of the bar, 2 at the other. Now has post-industrial decor, with brew kit visible at rear, chunky wood & metal furniture.
