Rising Sun

A lively and friendly traditional terraced town pub, just a short walk from the High St and on the canal side. Originating from the seventeenth century, it was formerly a brewhouse until the 1950's and there's a full history of the former licensees and the pub on the wall inside. The single room has a lively community atmosphere suited to beer and banter. Cobs and pork pies are available during the week. The three ales are from the Marston's range.
