The central bar in the oldest part of the pub has comfortable seating areas with real fires, low ceilings and ancient beams. Comfortable seating and settles give the place a cosy feel and in summer people sit outside enjoying the evening sun.
The carvery and open kitchen serve traditional pub food, specials, restaurant meals and home made desserts, with a carvery on Sunday.
There's handy nearby farm camping for those that are staying in the area for walking and the railway.
Closed Mondays except on Bank Holidays when it's open 12-10 for drinks only and cobs from the the bar.
Beers are from local breweries.
Level access from the car park to most areas and WCs (not adapted).
