Old Waggon & Horses

Opening hours

Popular local's and visitor's pub with a central bar that serves three distinct areas. The small wooden floored bar has a dartboard; the larger room has a wood-burner and a roll-down screen for major sporting events, but mostly conversation prevails. An old kitchen range in the dining area adds to the cottagy feel. The attractive terraced garden is on many levels and adorned with flowers in summer. From the kitchen, a £5.50 Special is available on Tuesday lunchtimes, pub meals all week, pie nights and Tapas nights once a month, and there are three Sunday carvery sittings. Cobs and pork pies are always available. Guest ales come from local independents along with a Thatcher's still cider pumped from the box to the tap. It has picked up a number of local CAMRA awards. Level access to the bar and part of the lounge. Step to WC's (not adapted).
