Opening hours

Popular village pub, renowned for its five real ales, real cider and especially the cobs for which people travel in for miles. A central doorway leads into the bar which has hardly changed, with its original 1920's furniture and horse racing memorabilia. See the website for its history. The renowned well-filled cobs draw in customers adding to its appeal, especially at lunchtimes and weekends. Outside, the garden is a sun-trap in summer with tables and covered stalls often used for eating as well as enjoying an excellent pint. Easily reached from the nearby canal, this gem is well worth visiting. It has won many local CAMRA awards and most recently Pub of the Year Silver 2020 for its consistently top quality beers and friendly community atmosphere. Level access is from the car park and into the rear access. No adapted WCs.
