This 14th century former monk's house has new tenants, a local couple fresh to the hospitality industry. They are keen to build on community values whilst maintaining quality meals, including Sunday roast. Pictures of the World Famous 'Lads of the Village' used by Eldridge Pope for many years were shot here and many adorn the walls. On-line is film of the 'lads' arriving for a pint in 1935 and another of them skittling from 1936, which is believed to be the oldest skittles footage in extant. Backgammon and cards also available, and league skittles several nights each week.
