This pub was sold to a private buyer in 2017 and change of use granted for conversion to a restaurant. However when the restaurant opened in 2019 we found a modern hotel and restaurant which also sold real ale. Drinkers do not have to purchase food. Close to the famous abbey. Regular beer is Cerne Abbas Blonde (on the solitary handpump) but one other Cerne Abbas ale (such as Harlequin or Legless Jester) is often available from polypin behind the bar. Light bites available outside main meal times.
