This 16th-century Grade II-listed stone building is a genuine old-fashioned public house at the heart of the community. With wooden beams throughout, the public bar features stone flooring and an open fire, while the lounge is used as a restaurant. No music, machines or TV spoil the atmosphere. Three beers are usually available. Excellent home-prepared food is served throughout and there is a small but pretty garden. They have been brewing their own real ales (White Horse Craft Brewery) and lagers since August 2015 and have many recipes using local wild hops picked from the surrounding hedgerows. A new wood fired Pizza has been installed and they can cater for parties and weddings.
