Cosy village pub in a small village next to the River Don, with impressive oak beams and well decorated interior. Adjacent to the village church it is utilised for Christening and wedding receptions. Under new management from May 2016. 2 real ales and good food served in the lounge bar which is well furnished and pleasingly decorated. No TVs but background music kept to a discreet volume. Licensee is Ben Parr who runs the pub with a young staff. Not served by a regular bus service.
