Roadside Pub/Restaurant on Great North Road, at junction with Great Yorkshire Way, area known locally as Parrots Corner. It was a toll house until 1890, then a private dwelling until being converted into a pub and refurbished throughout. Popular as a restaurant the cosy interior has oak beams, a fire and a flagstone floor in the bar area. Usually two real ales on handpull.
Close to Parrots Corner Park and Ride (service 55/56). Now a steakhouse (Miller and Carter). There is a small drinking area where no food purchase is required.
