This two-roomed coaching inn formerly a Hewitt's Brewery pub, now an Enterprise Inn and the landlord is the second generation of the family to be the pub's licensee. Attractive exterior with hanging baskets whilst inside, horse brasses abound and there are two showcases of model motor vehicles to admire. Extensive gardens and one has swings and slides. Real ales outsell lager considerably and two well-rotated guest ales may come from Theakston, Black Sheep, Caledonian and St Austell. Cider is regularly available. Locally sourced food and served lunchtimes Friday-Sunday and evenings Wednesday-Saturday. There is bingo on the last Saturday of the month; a Friday free quiz and a regular open night for musicians Currently welcoming walk ins but there is no kitchen at the moment please keep up to date on the pubs social media.
