There has been a pub on this site since 1530, and this lively, open-plan bar is a quiet relief from shopping during the week. With live music on Friday and karaoke on Saturday, it becomes joyfully boisterous at the weekend, and is popular for televised sport. It retains its roots as a long-established, proper pub, with pub games teams and an eclectic choice of ales.
