Bay Horse

Close to the A66, this traditional picturesque inn has been a pub since the 1840's and is what you'd call a proper pub. It is two roomed with an extensive restaurant to the rear and an enclosed beer garden. A warm welcome is guaranteed from friendly landlords and staff. Overlooking the village green, this community pub has well kept beers and wholesome food, made from local ingredients. Music nights/days are regular. Local darts teams play here. Ruined 14-century grade I listed castle watches over the village.
