Large friendly traditional two roomed public house, privately owned by the same couple for over 40 years since acquiring from Whitbread. An early adopter of real ale, holding The Tantobie Beer Festival back in the 1970s, still having souvenir glasses from the event. One beer is on offer now usually from Consett brewery. Sunday lunches are available with last sitting 14:30.
