Jolly Sailor

This 17th-century building is thought to have originally been a weaver's cottage. A pub since the 19th century, it retains many original features including old timbers, open fires and beamed ceiling - a convenient place to hang the collection of beer mugs. Recently purchased from Greene King by Graham Sharp and Yvonne Shanks. The pub has been redecorated. Formerly branch pub of the year in 2006 and 2007. Well filled rolls are available.
