Unicorn Inn

This popular local was originally a farmhouse on the Ratcliff family estate (of Bass, Ratcliff & Gretton brewery fame), but became a pub in the late 19th-century. The plain but bright and tidy interior includes an attractive bar area, featuring a wooden bar counter and bar stools, which is linked to a small "lounge" on one side and a separate 26-seater dining room on the other.
