This unusual half-timbered 3-storey, end-terrace pub, one of the oldest hostelries in the town, has had something of a chequered history but has now settled down to become a convivial drinkers hostelry under new operators.
The interior comprises a large, open plan, single room, but with some partitioning. While recently refurbished, some old oak beams have been retained towards the rear. A TV screen near the far end of the bar scrolls through the drinks menu.
Food currently limited to stone-baked pizzas with choice of toppings, plus garlic breads and snacks.
No pub car park, but there are public car parks nearby.
