Derby's first micro-pub is a small free house on the edge of a tree-lined conservation area, the site of Roman Derventio and one-time Viking stronghold. Handyside's iron bridge and Derby Rowing Club are close by. Conforms to the micro-pub philosophy: one small room and passageway, no music, fruit machines or lager. Four changing beers, usually including three from Hartshorns Brewery.
