Royal Oak

'Tudor style' village pub, the older part reportedly a converted farmhouse dating back 'a few hundred years', but radically revamped and extended in 2008. Now has a semi-open-plan interior with several linked areas around a central bar counter. Some concentration on food, but open mic night first Monday of month, plus occasional live music and discos. As well as social events (see below), the pub hosts fund raising events for the National Memorial Arboretum Special Forces Garden and holds occasional whisky tastings.
