Large, imposing, friendly Victorian locals pub, set back from the road and close to an A38 flyover. A Grade II listed old (1828) milestone can be seen outside the front entrance.
There is a basic public bar at the front, with a section wood-partitioned off, plus a large, comfortable lounge to the rear. The latter has a projector TV and drop-down screen, so it can be busy on big match nights.
Large function room upstairs, with its own bar, and some unusual features: the bar counter is supported by half-casks, and the room is lit by small chandeliers!
The local British Legion meets here on 3rd Thursday of month.
