Comfortable former 18th-century coaching inn, recently refurbished and revived by current licensees. The open plan interior incorporates several areas linked around an off-centre bar counter, with the former public bar and lounge sections now barely distinguishable. The older parts of the pub feature low beamed ceilings, but there are two high ceiling areas to the rear. An enclosed beer garden, with picnic tables on patio and lawn, is behind the pub. The inexpensive meals and snacks include specials, a children's menu, and traditional Sunday lunchtime roasts (12-3.30).
