Lads Of The Village

Opening hours

Very traditional pub, built in1793 as a private cottage, and licensed in early Victorian times. The landlord has been in residence since 1978, probably the longest serving for miles around, and has built up a loyal local following. Keen supporter of charities including a large collection for Cancer Research. Many old prints and photographs adorn the walls and there is a collection of war memorobilia in a cabinet. Large selection of malt whiskies, especially Irish. Next door to the railway station and the closest pub to Travelodge on the other side of the railway line.
