Offley Arms

UPDATE - Joules took over the pub in October 2020. Plans for refurbishment and an extended beer garden are under way. Not known on planned opening date due to pandemic. Comfortable, modernised, single-roomed pub, a former coaching inn, opposite Madeley Pool, giving the impression of separate areas by a central island bar; it trades mainly on freshly prepared, home-cooked food. There is a pleasant beer garden for smokers and al fresco drinkers, and the Newcastle to Crewe bus stops right outside. Now run as a steakhouse, the presence of real ale is probable, but unconfirmed.
