Large locals pub at North end of Broad Street, by railway bridge. Ex GRS pub group. Now part of Red Oak Taverns. Adjacent land, that used to be the pub's beer garden, to south-east of pub has had planning application for housing in 2007-started in 2018. This pub is hoping to stock a range of beers from Merlin brewery of Arclid near Sandbach.
