Popular village pub where food does not feature, just ale and conversation. The landlord has been here for more than 20 years. The comfy seating and log fire are enhanced by a music-free environment. Three guest ales are served, often from major concerns such as Greene King and Everards, but sometimes from small local breweries. The sparkler is willingly removed on request. Off-road parking is available opposite the pub. Lunchtime opening is weekends only.
