Traditional family owned free house is located in the heart of Shackerstone village near the Ashby Canal and the preserved Battlefield Railway. It has a wood panelled bar serving 4 traditional ales and 1 cider, restaurant, pool room with Sky Sports, family-friendly conservatory and an attractive garden. The pub, popular with locals and visitors alike, is renowned for the quality and variety of its ales and serves good pub food - the ideal hub for visiting this rural part of Leicestershire. In 2017 the landlord was presented with an award by the local CAMRA branch to mark 30 years service.
