Anchor Inn

The Anchor was thought to be a trading post and mail collection point for narrowboat workers following completion of the canal in 1790. It has a cosy feel in winter and wooden beams and open fires. In summer there are plenty of outdoor areas including a children's playground. Three restaurants and a carvery are on different levels (no evening meals Sunday).
