The Fountain is a backstreet corner pub close to Whitstable's main shopping area. The pub has a pool table at one end and seating throughout. The real ale tends to be from local breweries. Artwork with a cartoonish theme adorns the walls. There is also graffiti spray-painted directly onto the walls - a feature is made of a whole wall piece in the corridor leading to the lavatories.
