Superb community local with five real ales, extensively-refurbished and extended in spring 2020. A charity quiz is held on Monday evenings, there are frequent darts matches in the public bar and occasional chess evenings. Five handpumps in the saloon bar dispense three regular ales plus a guest, which may be from Brentwood Brewery. Framed prints of the local area decorate the walls. Outside there is a covered heated smokers' area, a new garden and a patio.
