Red Fox

The imposing building in its own extensive grounds dates back to the 1860s and has at different times been a private house, a country club, a restaurant and a night club. Acquired and extensively refurbished by Brunning & Price Group it was re-opened in December 2014 as a smart gastro-pub serving quality food and well kept beers and ciders. The pub manages to create a pub atmosphere as you enter with a traditional bar area boasting nine handpumps are arranged so beers are ordered light to dark to help you choose and a dark beer is always available. The changing beers are usually from local microbreweries and the house beer is from Phoenix Brunning and Price Original Bitter 3.8%. A smaller bar area at the back serves the outside seating and a large lawned garden. The pub was the local CAMRA Cider Pub of the Year 2017, 2018 and 2019. Lockdown Hero Award 2021. The Little Fox is a private function and dining space opened in 2018. Capable of holding up to 200 people it has its own bar which can serve up to 3 real ales on handpump.
